Description

And so, ladies and gentlemen, we finally made it to the last and final enemy of the story.....Evil Traffic Lights!!...No I'm not kidding.

-----------------------------------------------

ZTAR LOG
Ztop-and-Go: That’s a Ztop-and-Go, another product of Dr. I’s twisted brilliance. If I remember correctly, it uses colorful lights to send signals and confuse enemies, making it an effective sentry. Given Dr. I’s association with Ztars, I’ll bet this thing’s got a few new functions…none of them good.
HP: 5
ATK: 4
DEF: 1
Special: Speed Light, Cancel Light
Additional Notes: A Ztop-and-Go’s main attack is a laser beam fired from its yellow light; the other two lights perform support functions in battle. Its green light can boost the SPD of an ally, letting it move more often; however, the red light is what concerns me most. It can afflict us with Cancel, which greatly limits our abilities: you’ll lose access to your jump, hammer, or special moves, and I’ll be unable to attack at all! Block the red light at just the right time to avoid being Cancelled; better yet, take advantage of the Ztop-and-Go’s low HP and wreck it before it can even attack!

Ztop-and-Go 2.0: That’s a Ztop-and-Go 2.0, an upgraded version of Dr. I’s light-flashing drone. It took him a while to work out the bugs, but this version of the Ztop-and-Go outdoes the old model in every way. Kind of fitting that it should show up in Frosty’s castle; now we have another meaning of the word “freeze” to worry about!
HP: 7
ATK: 6
DEF: 1
Special: Healing Light, Speed Light, Big Laser, Cancel Light, Stop Light
Additional Notes: The Ztop-and-Go’s original functions have been replicated in the 2.0 model, but it’s got a wide range of dangerous new moves. Its pink light can boost the SPD of an ally or restore their HP; its purple light can fire a massive beam to hit both of us; finally, its blue light can Cancel us or stop us in our tracks! It’s quite a threat on its own, but its true horrid potential is unleashed when it has allies to support it - if it’s in a group, take it down first!

Ztop-and-Go EX: Oh great…that’s a Ztop-and-Go EX! Dr. I’s added a second set of lights to this Ztop-and-Go, turning it into what he calls “the ultimate multipurpose weapon of Light destruction!” …I think he’s exaggerating just a bit, but don’t hold back on this thing - if it’s good enough to be guarding Darkrift Castle, it’s going to be a real pain to deal with!
HP: 12
ATK: 8
DEF: 2
Special: Super Speed Light, Draining Light, Mega Laser, Super Cancel Light, Super Stop Light
Additional Notes: The Ztop-and-Go EX uses upgraded versions of the 2.0 model’s attacks. Its green light raises NUM along with SPD, and its blue light’s healing ability allows it to drain our HP to heal its allies. Its yellow and purple lights have even stronger laser attacks; the basic yellow shot pierces DEF, while the big purple laser just hurts like heck. Finally, its red light can either Immobilize us for several turns, and its pink light hits us with Cancel and Slow for extra annoyance! It’s as big of a pain as we’ve come to expect from Dr. I’s creations, so target it first to stop its support efforts!

**RARE ENEMY**

Ztop-and-Go 0: That’s a Ztop-and-Go 0, an early model of Dr. I’s most annoying mecha-minion. Turns out that most of his headaches in the design process weren’t making them powerful enough, but allowing them to control it; this one just fires beams from its snazzy rainbow lights at anything that moves. It was sent to the Tower of 100 Trials because not even the Ztars could fix its AI - unfortunately, they seem to have done enough to let it know that we’re priority targets…
HP: 17
ATK: 10
DEF: 2
Special: Rewind Light, Ultra Speed Light, Giga Laser, Ultra Cancel Light, Skip-and-Pause Light
Additional Notes: Credit where credit is due: Dr. I managed to install full-on chronomancy in the Ztop-and-Go 0. It helps its allies by rewinding time a turn or two; this heals damage, undoes ailments, and even revives fallen enemies! Compared to that, boosting all of one enemy’s stats is almost a relief…especially since its attacks aren’t any nicer. Its lasers are even stronger, its Cancel Light debuffs all of our stats on top of locking our moves, and it can even fast-forward time to debuff us…and then hits us with Immobile to boot! I know I’ve said it a lot in here, but…for the love of the Stars, end that thing fast!

Let me guess: the 'Escarslows' of WotZK? All I can say is: very interesting enemy.

Alex: All you can say? How about the fact that its abilities looked a tad similar to Temporal Abilities. Has Dr. I been researching Temporal Energy?

Also, 'last and final enemy'... We'll see how long that last.
