Chapter 8-2: War of the Two Empires: Assault on the Infinity Empire. part 8

So…before we begin, I’d like to apologize. You see, beforehand, I went to fight Queen Saku and forgot to report it…the end result? It…did not turn out as great as I had hoped. I’ve had many close calls and many terrible loses. It seems that even in my current level, I was not able to beat her!! So…I had no choice but to restart Chapter 8-2 from the very beginning. I trained and trained, saved up lots of money, bought some pretty awesome badges, and managed to get all of my partners into their Ultra Ranks.  Here are my full results:

Celestial Wrath: Allows the use of two Celestials.
Celestial Hoarder: For every “Stylish” you perform, you gain triple the Celestial Points.

Flower Keeper: Reduces amount of FP used by 2
Pretty Lucky: Enemies will occasionally Miss Mario
Quick Change: Allows Mario or his partner to switch in the midst of battle without using up a turn.
Disable Smash: A Weak Attack that disables Enemy Buffs


Here’s to hoping that this will make a difference in battle and help me win against Queen Saku! So with that in mind, let’s get back to our story. When we last left off our story, our heroes had finally made it to Saku’s throne room and have confronted the tyrannical queen herself. During their encounter, our heroes learn of her motives and why she wishes to obtain her wish in becoming a goddess. And now, with the stage being set, our heroes now begin their long awaited battle with the queen herself. This battle would surely be a challenging and epic one.

Saku: Oblivion awaits you fools. You will suffer the wrath of the Queen of The Infinity Empire!

Samantha: Mario! Let’s take this imposter down once and for all!

Luigi: Peach! Just hang on! We are coming to save you!

Saku: Hmph! Your ignorance will prove to be your downfall today. This castle will become your grave!!

And with that, we begin our battle, but not before some scanning done. Squorp~?

Squorp:  SCAN COMPLETE. CREATURE: Queen Saku. My apologies to remind you that this is not the real Queen Saku. For she is Princess Peach suffering Amnesia. Nevertheless, with this new identity, Peach has become the evil corrupted queen that Samantha would have been. STATS: HP 300/ATK 20/DEF 0
ATTACKS: Infinity Bolt/Dark Ball/Kiss of Pain/Infinity Barrier/Goddess Call/Maiden's Bliss/Queen's Wrath/Spirit of Destruction. ANALYSIS: Saku has over a plethora of attacks. Most of the attacks are Samantha's attacks with the same results. Only hers are much stronger. Her Dark Ball will cause immobile to anyone who is hit by this attack. With her Kiss of Pain attack, she will blow out a sickish purple fog on all part members, dealing a strange negative effect called "Hurt". This negative effect is something only Queen Saku can master. Hurt will make the body alot more sensitive to pain, thus  you will take damage when taking any sort of movement. Her Maiden's Bliss will turn her invisible for two turns. Exercise Caution. She still obtains the Spirit of Destruction and will use his gruesome power to do damage. Best of luck to you all.

Saku: Hmph. What good will this knowledge of my skill will do for you? Absolutely nothing.

Samantha: Let’s do this my friends! We’ll take back my kingdom and make things all the better!

With the heroes agreeing to this, the battle officially began. Mario prepares for his first turn with a normal hammer attack, dealing 8 points of damage. Samantha summons an Infinity Bolt, which dealt 9 points of damage. Finally, Luigi attacks with a standard jump attack, dealing 7points damage. It was now Saku’s turn to attack. She attacks using Infinity Bolt, the same attack that Samantha had just performed.  This attack was targeted on Samantha, losing 20 points of health. In the next turn, the group perform the same tactic as their previous turn. So far so good, but now…it was time to turn things around.

Saku: Let’s see how you handle this!

Saku extends her left arm towards the group and creates a large ball of darkness from the palm of her hand. Once it was big enough, she shoots it towards Mario. The ball explodes, dealing 25 points of damage to him. This would have caused Immobile to him, but the Sparkling Light kept it from happening. With their next turn, it was time to use up those Flower Points. Mario performs his Omega Smash, Samantha uses her Queen’s Wrath, and Luigi performs his Rain of Green attack. This attack, in total, did 57 points of damage.

Saku: Hmmmm…perhaps I underestimated you…You all seem to hold your own. But now…play time is over!

And here comes the part where I always get into the unlucky streak. Saku raises her arms in the air, and a beam of light covers her body. This was similar to Samantha’s ability, Goddess Call. Now, her ATK, DEF, SPD, and NUM were increased for 3 turns. Now things are about to get hard from here on…

Luigi: Oh no! She’s beefed up her stats! Now she’ll have the advantage!

Samantha: Not if I have anything to say about it because two can play this game!

Mario attacks Saku with his Infinity Smash, dealing only 7 points of damage. Now with Saku taking the turn, she performs her second strongest attack, Queen’s Wrath. She sets her sights on Samantha, and strikes her hard…TWICE! This dealt a whopping 86 points of damage!

Samantha: ACK! Ouch! It’s just as painful as my attack >_<!

Luigi: Well you have a Goddess Call! Why don’t you use it too?!

Samantha: Ri…right! I just hope it will be enough…

Samantha performs her Goddess Call, increasing the same stats. Luigi then grabs an Ultra Mushroom to heal up Samantha’s stats. Saku strikes Luigi twice with Infinity Bolt, doing 35 points of damage. With Samantha taking the helm, it was time to take things to her own hands. She strikes Samantha hard with a double Queen’s Wrath attack. Her added ATK power pierced through Saku’s raised DEF, doing a total of 40 points of damage.

Saku: Hmmmm. You all seem to bear strong power…interesting. However, I cannot allow you to beat me. Let’s turn the tide in my favor shall we?

Saku brings her hand to her lips, kisses it, and blows a large sickish purple fog towards the group, engulfing the heroes. She did this twice by the way to give it that reassurance it needed to do what it needed to do. To her luck, her Kiss of Pain attack worked well. It did a weak 10 points of damage (7 to Samantha) and inflicted the status effect, Hurt, on everyone. Everyone’s bones now felt brittle and ached like crazy.

Luigi: aaah!...my…my bones…why…why do they feel so weak and sensitive…?

Samantha: Drat!...its…it’s the Kiss of Pain attack...she…she’s got us good with it! Our movements will now cause us damage! We can’t switch either for it will just cause us even more pain!

Luigi: But…we…we can’t just sit here and do nothing! We need….to fight through this pain…

Saku: Ha ha ha ha ha! I would advise against that, but if you’re so eager to…then I won’t let that stop you.

Samantha: Everyone…I know…this is going to hurt…but please…just fight…through the pain!

Mario went first, attacking Saku with Infinity Smash. This dealt 10 points of damage, but caused Mario to lose 6, thanks to the Hurt Status. Saku launches two Dark Balls at Mario. Mario managed to negative the immobile effect, but couldn’t avoid the 13 points of damage it would cause. Samantha to perform her Queen’s Wrath attack twice at Saku, dealing a whopping 40 points of health, but the double attack caused her to lose 12 points of damage. Samantha moaned in pain as she got on her knees.

Samantha: Agh!....This pain is unbearable!! The more I attack, the more I feel like my bones are bending to uncomfortable proportions!

Luigi goes for his basic jump attack, striking Saku with 5 points of damage. But takes 6 points of damage himself.

Saku: Hmmmm…perhaps it’s time to unleash the mighty power of the Celestial. Your doom has finally come!

Saku raises her arms up in the air, bringing out the Celestial Orb she has.

Saku: Celestial Spirit of Destruction!! Destroy these fools with your mighty dark power!!!

The orb flies into the air, higher and higher! It then releases a dark spirit from within the orb. The spirit takes the form of a giant beefed up horned demon with four arms. Each arm was holding purple spears of dark energy. The demon throws all of the spears towards the group, one landing on each of the group. The final spear lands near the middle and explodes into a dark catastrophic explosion! The initial destruction caused 60 points of damage to all!!!

Luigi: Oh no…I don’t…think I can hold on much longer….

Samantha: We can’t…give up….now when we…are so close!

Saku: But sadly…you’re going to slip away….because you forget…I still have another turn >:3 which means I can go for another attack…but since I can’t use my Celestial, I’ll do you all a simple favor….

Saku then performs her Queen’s Wrath attack on Luigi, taking all of his health away and knocking him out for good.

Saku: I’ll just get rid of one of you~

Samantha: LUIGI!!!

Saku: Hahahaha. Three down and two more to go…

Samantha: No…I won’t…let you…Hurt another one of my friends, you imposter!!!

Samantha gets back on her feet and performs another Queen’s Wrath twice (since this was her last turn for Goddess Call) and attacks Saku hard with a loss of 40 points again!

Saku: ARGGH!!! Curses!!

And with that, the hurt status was finally gone and our heroes can move freely once again!

Samantha: Oh…oh thank goodness we can move!

Saku: GRRR…don’t….get to comfortable…this battle is not over!

Mario would disagree with that statement as he summons Globobob into the field.

Globobob: Glob………………..help………………….friends!

Mario gives the order to go for an all-out attack! With a combination of their basic attacks, they all do a whopping of 23 points of damage!

Saku: No…I can’t…lose…not here!

Samantha: This is it! We’re nearly there!

Saku: Not…yet!...I still have…one more trick up my sleeve!...Behold! Maiden’s Bliss!!!

Saku’s body is covered in a swirl of wind, which in turn made her body invisible. Now she was safe from all attacks!

Saku: haha…hahha….try…attacking me…now!

Samantha: Rats…I forgot about this move…well, this may be good. This can be a great opportunity for us to heal up.

Mario nods as the group bring out their items, healing their HP and FP. Saku remained the defensive…it seems she was planning something. Mario, however, didn’t like the idea…so he sends out The Spirit of Nature to prepare a protection. Thankfully, Saku had no idea what this would even do…so she’s in for a rude surprise!

Saku: Now! This is where you fall!! Destroy them Spirit of Destruction!!

Saku sends it out again for another deadly attack!...at least…that’s what would have happened…had it not been for the vines that sprout from below the ground and protected our heroes from the attack. Saku was….REALLY livid!

Saku: WHAT?! WHAT?! HO-HOW?! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO WRITHE IN PAIN!!!

Samantha: Its over! Everyone! Give it all you got!!!

Our heroes perform their strongest move on the tyrannical queen and with enough power; it was more than enough to put an end to her once and for all!

Saku: Im…Impossible!!!I  Lost to these wretched interlopers!? How absurd!!


And so the battle had ended. Saku was down, panting tiredly. She growled in pure rage, trying to fight the belief that she had just lost.

Saku: Grrrr…how could…I have lost…?!

Samantha: Its over Saku. You have lost here.

Saku: Tch!

Luigi: Heh…We…We did it guys! We defeated…the Infinity Empire!

Betty: Yeah! I knew we could do it!

Vanessa: Was there ever any doubt?

Bowser: Heh, of course not!

Saku: he he… he he he….he he he he he.

All: ?!

Saku: I wouldn’t celebrate just yet, fools…

General Guy: What are you going on abo-

Suddenly, General Guy was struck hard with a….Delta End?!

Samantha: ?! Wha..What? What in the-

Samantha was attacked by the same attack as well! One by one, all of the heroes were attacked by the fierce Delta End! Everyone but Mario and Samantha were knocked out cold. Come to find out that their attacker was none other than Samantha’s brother…Vick!

Vick: Forgive me, but I’m afraid your little victory will be cut short.

Samantha: Vi…Vick!?

Saku: hehehe..hehe. You pulled through brother….guess you’re not so useless after all.

Vick: Hmph. Anything for you my dear sister.

Saku: Right…now then…Vick. Take what is rightfully mine.

Vick nods and approaches Mario. With his sword wielded high, he performs another Delta End on Mario, really doing damage on him!

Samantha: MARIO!!!!

After what a looked like quite the abuse, Mario was knocked out; making it easy for Vick to grab all of the Celestial Orbs from his possession. Vick walks over to Saku and hands it to her.

Vick: For you my sister.

Saku watches as the Celestial Orbs float up and circle around Saku, as well as the orb she obtained.

Saku: Yes…YES! Finally!...I have all of the Celestial Orbs in my possession! The Infinity Empire…has finally won this day!

Samantha: No…nooo!!!

Saku: You all have played quite the roll…I’m actually rather thankful that you went through all the trouble in obtaining these orbs. This made my job a lot easier. All that it took was defeating your little plumber friend. Now that I have them all…nothing can stop me now. Vick! Come…we must begin our next phase to our plan.

Vick: At once.

Vick walks over to Saku’s side as they made their way to the balcony. Samantha, weak and in pain, crawled and crawled….but her efforts were all in vein…as she passed out…welp…looks like things have just…got really bad for our heroes…though they managed to defeat Saku…this was still a defeat for the Majestic Empire…but now…….what is going to happen next??? Tune in…as we come near to our end…
